There was a show on CNN about immigrants in this country.

So far is talking about the fast growing population of inmigrants, and the money they have to spend in schools to teach English to these kids.
There is one person anti-inmigrants against all this. He said that he finds so upsetting on having to spend all this money, whereas the US can invest the money on their own Americans. He will do anything he can do to assure they go to their countries. I'm sorry, that we will go back to our countries.

Some other said that they are willing to help this kids so that they grow to be productive in the future, work and pay taxes to the government.

What an idiot, doesn't he know that this country is full of immigrants? then they interview a couple of illegal immigrants that got a tax id number and are extremely happy of paying taxes. they said that America has given them so many opportunities and his life and the ones of his family has gotten better, that paying taxes is the only contribution, is their way to say thanks. Unfortunately this W-7 form is nowhere listed or shown on the statistics as illegal immigrants paying taxes.

This same idiot is a very active 'activist'??? he called inmigration to report about 50 illegal immigrants that claim to make 25,000 a year and not paying taxes walking back and forward in his neighborhood. This were about 20 guys looking to make a living by home depot where lots of contractors will come and offer them to work for $50 to $80 per day. He organized a protest, "viva la migra" says everywhere. He called again claiming that illegal inmigrants where bothering his town.

My husband, an illegal immigrant, has been paying his taxes for the past 4 years using that w-7 form. Not to mention that he opened his own company and employes people who want to work and contribute to the welfare of this country. Pays taxes and helps the economy; Despite of his illegal status which me being an American Citizen, and us having an American baby can't help him change his status.
Then this people are saying that we are criminals/terrorists. Don't they know that every single one of those terrorists of 9/11 came into the US with a visa??? they were here LEGALLY. Jails in the United States are filled with American Citizens Criminals, not illegal immigrants. We are people that, like their ancestors, want better opportunities in life.
One of the people I resent the most is Arnold Swacheneger. He is a legal immigrant. He came when he was 17 years old, but because of his physical he got all this opportunities. Now he is striking against immigrants? Doesn't he remember he is an immigrant himself?
Doesn't people know that we come here to work, to live, to contribute to the country not only by paying taxes, but by helping the economy, the working world, culture, and everything else? There are thousands of immigrants that work on farms making less than $2 hourly. no benefits, no insurance, nothing. Kind of jobs that a legal person, by no means, will accept. However, ever since they have been striking so much, farmers have been affected. Their products are going bad because they haven't been able to employ enough illegals to pick their fruits. Oh so now immigrants are needed?
A very controversial theme. I love this country, I pay my taxes, I pay interests for those loans I have, I pay property taxes and every kind of taxes there are to pay. My illegal husband pays taxes too. His company pays taxes and creates employment for 3 legal and 2 illegal, but those employments bring food to their families mouths. Please don't make our lives more difficult than it already is. We face so many difficulties daily. The fact that he hasn't been able to get legal. The fact that he doesn't have a social security closes so many doors. the fact that next year his driver's license will expire closes even more doors. will probably close my doors too, since he is the bread winner.
What are we going to do, if he will not be able to drive??? He hasn't been able to see his first 10 year old son who lives in his country for about 10 years now? He goes to sleep every night of our nights dreaming about the day he will be able to hug Kevin.
I truly hope and wish that the immigration laws will strike in our favor.
